The 30-day visa-free regime also matters for travellers from Kazakhstan. It simplifies preparation, but does not remove the need to check the passport, return ticket, insurance and current entry rules before buying.

Nha Trang is chosen for its long beach, developed infrastructure and wide hotel choice. Da Nang combines sea and sightseeing: Hoi An, the Marble Mountains and the Hai Van Pass are nearby. Phu Quoc suits a quieter island holiday, while Hoi An offers the old town atmosphere, cafés and walks.

For a first trip, start with Nha Trang or Da Nang: transport, food and hotel choice are simpler. For a honeymoon or a quiet holiday, compare Phu Quoc and resort hotels with a private beach.

Vietnam stretches from north to south, so the weather differs by region. The south and Nha Trang are usually comfortable in winter and spring; central Vietnam is better in spring and early summer. Rain and waves are possible in summer in some regions.

Before choosing dates, compare the resort, not only the country. For Da Nang and Hoi An, consider the rainy season; for Phu Quoc, wind and waves; for Hanoi, heat and humidity.

Direct and connecting flights depend on the season and flight programme. From Almaty and Astana, options often go through Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dubai, Istanbul or another hub; compare travel time and baggage for the exact route.

Reaching Vietnam's resorts often requires a domestic flight or a ground transfer. Add the journey, baggage and connection time to the budget — a cheaper international flight can bring long and inconvenient logistics.

Vietnam offers a wide range of hotels, from city 3–4* properties to resort complexes with breakfast or all inclusive. For a beach holiday, the distance to the sea, a private beach, a pool and nearby cafés matter.

The budget depends on the resort and season. Plan separately for meals, excursions, massage, transport and souvenirs. Local food and cafés are usually cheaper than hotel restaurants, but check freshness and hygiene.

Citizens of Kazakhstan can enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days. Before travelling, check passport validity, the return ticket, insurance and current rules — they can change.

Keep copies of documents, use official taxis and apps, and do not leave valuables unattended on the beach. With children, confirm hotel conditions and medical insurance in advance.

In Nha Trang, allow a day for the islands and mud springs; in Da Nang, for the Marble Mountains and Hoi An; in Hoi An, for the old town and tailors. Phu Quoc is known for cable cars, beaches and night markets.

A 10–14 day combined route can include Hanoi, Halong Bay, Da Nang and Hoi An. With less time, avoid too many transfers and keep one or two bases.
