Fethiye Tours from Kazakhstan

Fethiye sits in south-west Türkiye where the Mediterranean meets the mountains, and coves plus pine-covered slopes form one of the country's most scenic corners. Ölüdeniz and the Blue Lagoon, the Saklıkent gorge and the start of the Lycian Way are all here.

TripTech helps you choose between Çalış, Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz, check the Dalaman flight, the transfer and the hotel that fits your style. We explain where it is quiet, where it is busy and which activities to book before departure.

  • Fethiye is the Mediterranean with the Ölüdeniz lagoon, mountains and the Lycian Way; beach days sit easily beside paragliding, boat trips and hiking.
  • The nearest airport is Dalaman (DLM), about 50 km away; transfers to Fethiye, Çalış and Ölüdeniz usually take 60 minutes or more.
  • May to October is the season; July and August are hot, while May, June, September and October suit both beach and activities.

Why Fethiye is more than a beach

Fethiye is not only sand: paragliders launch from Babadağ, boats leave for the Göcek islands, and the Lycian Way starts nearby. The town has a marina, a fish market and the lanes of its old centre.

That range makes Fethiye work for couples, families and active travellers. Even if the sea is the main plan, a day or two away from the beach gives the trip character without long transfers.

Ölüdeniz, Çalış and Hisarönü: where to stay

Ölüdeniz is known for the Blue Lagoon and Belcekız beach; it is the most scenic spot but busy in summer. Çalış suits families with a long sandy beach, shallow water and sunsets, while Hisarönü is handy for restaurants and nightlife.

For quiet, look at Ovacık and Faralya with hillside boutiques; for yachts and restaurants, Göcek. Saklıkent is about an hour away, and the ruins of Tlos, Xanthos and Letoon suit a history day.

When to go: May to October

The beach season in Fethiye runs from May to October, with the warmest sea from July to September. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, so schedule trips for the morning.

May, June, September and October give comfortable weather for beaches, boats and the Lycian Way. Winter is cool and wet, some hotels close, and paragliding or boat trips depend on conditions.

Flying to Dalaman and the transfer

The nearest airport is Dalaman (DLM), about 50 km from Fethiye; the drive to the town and Çalış takes around an hour, and Ölüdeniz a little longer. Regular flights from Kazakhstan usually connect through Istanbul, with seasonal charters possible.

A pre-booked transfer to the hotel is the easiest option, especially for a late arrival. Taxis and shuttles are available, and a rental car helps for Saklıkent, Göcek and Dalyan.

Hotels, meal plans and budget

Fethiye has boutiques in Faralya, family resorts in Çalış and Ovacık, and town hotels near the marina. Breakfast or half board is common; all-inclusive is rarer than in Antalya, so dinner in town becomes part of the holiday.

The budget depends on dates, area, hotel and meal plan; count paragliding, boat trips, lagoon entry and the transfer separately. July–August is more expensive, while May, June and October offer calmer options.

Activities, couples and families

Couples like Faralya boutiques, sunsets in Çalış and dinners by the marina; quiet coves and spas suit a honeymoon. Families are comfortable in Çalış and Ovacık, with gentle water entry and children's pools.

For adrenaline, book tandem paragliding from Babadağ with a licensed operator; flights depend on wind and can be rescheduled. Other options include canyoning, sea fishing, cycling and hiking the Lycian Way.

Practical tips for the area

The Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz has a paid entrance and a pebble beach, so bring water shoes. For Babadağ and the valleys, take a windproof layer, water and trainers, and leave a spare day for the flight.

Dolmuş minibuses serve the area, but a car is easier for remote bays and Saklıkent. Keep cash for the market and small cafés, check the weather before a boat trip and do not leave valuables unattended on the beach.

May to October; June, September and early October are ideal for the beach and sea. July–August is hot and busy, and some hotels close in winter.

Where is the Blue Lagoon?

In Ölüdeniz, inside a nature park; entry is paid and the beach is pebbly. Arrive early in summer to find space and avoid the heat.
